FAQ’s
How does grobag® airfree® work?
grobag® airfree® 55 incinerates micro organisms in its patented ceramic core. Contaminated air is drawn into grobag® airfree’s ceramic core by air convection and micro organisms are destroyed at high temperatures, regardless of how resistant and dangerous they might be.
Is it safe for the environment?
grobag® airfree 55's new technology uses heat to purify the air. There are no nasty side affects or harmful emissions and no new particles are generated, making it completely safe for the environment.
Do you have to change any filters?
Unlike many other air purifiers, grobag® airfree® requires no maintenance or replacement filters, saving time and cost.
Will it start working immediately?
grobag® airfree® 55 will start to work as soon as it’s plugged in, but it’s best to allow your unit to run for at least one week to achieve significant results.
Does it need to be left on constantly?
You will need to keep it switched on 24 hours a day. The unit is very cost effective and actually uses less power than a 60w light bulb.
Where is the best place to put it?
grobag® airfree® 55 is best placed on the floor and has been designed for rooms up to 22m². Do not install it under furniture, shelves or behind curtains, as this will reduce airflow.
Can it be moved from one room to another?
It’s best to keep the grobag® airfree® 55 in the same room because the patented technology works gradually and should not have its cycle interrupted. Moving it from one room to another will interrupt this cycle and could cause inefficiency.
Will it affect the temperature of the room?
grobag® airfree® 55 does not noticeably increase room temperature. To get an idea, two grobag® airfree’s in the same room will contribute as much heat as the presence of one adult in that same room. The humidity of a room is also unaffected.
What is the blue light for?
This is a adjustable chromatherapy light which produces a calming and relaxing effect and can also be used as a soothing nightlight, making it perfect for newborns or your child’s bedroom.
